Agricultural Research Laboratory Project, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences
1.Project Overview
Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences covers various laboratories including crop breeding, edible fungus cultivation, agricultural product microbial testing and veterinary diagnosis, with strict standards for sterile isolation, graded pressure differentials, cross-contamination prevention and corrosion resistance to reagents. We delivered a full set of cleanroom enclosure panels, pass-through windows, ultra-clean workbenches, air showers and FFU purification units, completing the full-area purification supporting construction for tissue culture inoculation rooms, PCR testing rooms and sample buffer rooms, meeting sterile experiment and agricultural biosafety specifications for agricultural scientific research.
2.Project Challenges
- 1. Multi-gradient clean zoning: Strictly divided into contaminated pre-treatment zones, Class 10,000 buffer zones and Class 100 sterile operation zones, with precise pressure differential control to prevent cross-contamination of strains.
- 2. Frequent use of acid-base disinfectants and pesticide testing reagents in experiments; walls and equipment must be corrosion-resistant without hidden corners for bacterial accumulation.
- 3. Physical isolation required for transfer of seed samples, strains and lab consumables to eliminate cross-contamination between different varieties and strains.
- 4. Comply with CNAS, agricultural biosafety and ISO14644 cleanroom standards, adapting to long-term continuous scientific research experiment conditions.
3.Supporting Solutions & Implementation Results
- 1. Cleanroom Enclosure System: Arc seamless stainless steel clean wall panels resist wiping with chemical reagents, and zone partitions stably maintain gradient pressure differentials.
- 2. Isolation & Transfer Equipment: Interlock UV pass-through windows realize sterile cross-zone transfer of strains and lab consumables, blocking air circulation between zones.
- 3. Complete Purification Equipment: Air showers, Class 100 ultra-clean workbenches and FFU laminar flow units paired with multi-stage high-efficiency filters build a stable sterile operation environment.
After acceptance, all indicators of the full purification system including cleanliness, airtightness and pressure differentials reach standards, effectively reducing strain contamination and experimental data errors, and guaranteeing the accuracy of breeding and microbial testing experiments.
